Everything is different this year and we should be proud of ourselves for the adjustments we are making as we go along. One day at a time is said at our house each day.
The holidays are around the corner and we are making adjustments.
Family members are celebrating birthdays and we are making adjustments.
The internet is making it possible to be together when not being together.
Zoom, Google Hangouts Meet, Skype, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger to name a few allow you to connect and view your family and friends together until we can be together again in person.
Our daughter, Kaitlyn, Kait-lately is having a birthday this weekend. Our celebration will be small but special involving her favorite pizza and salad from Bricks Wood Fired Pizza and birthday cake. Then we will get in the car with hot chocolate in hand to drive through the holiday Illuminations event at the Morton Arboretum to enjoy holiday lights. This is a timed passed event you can get online on their website and it should be spectacular. Though our family can't gather together this year, we are still able to celebrate Kaitlyn's special day in a festive but safe way.
