Extra TLC

We are all wearing masks when in public these days making it difficult to see the smiles and expressions of our friends and neighbors.  A smile can change how a person in feeling, give them confidence and assurance.  So until the day comes when we can reveal our smiles again, make an extra effort to get to know people or reach out to them in a safe way this holiday season.

I'll let you in on a few facts about myself.  I am been writing Lakehouselyn for nearly 8 years.
It began as an entertaining guide and has now evolved into a entertainment, lifestyle, and life events blog.  I enjoy writing and often find myself jumping out of bed to write notes on an idea for a blog post.  I like collecting spiral notebooks for my notes.  I'm at home in my kitchen making old family recipes or trying new ones in magazines, cookbooks or online. When I make a pot of soup, chili, or stew, I make enough to share. I keep food containers on hand and deliver to bring a smile.  When I bake muffins in the morning, I will wrap a couple and leave by my neighbors door with a good morning note.

This holiday season and in the winter months, leave a meal or a homemade baked good on your neighbors porch or at their front door.  So many are not able to see family and friends for the holidays this year and a small gesture like this will warm the hearts of those alone. Leave a little note "thinking of you".

Thanks for being a reader. I appreciate all of you.
