It's Earth Day April 22

Our planet is in need of our help more than ever before.  One of the ways we can all help is by recycling.  Did you know there is a right and a wrong way to recycle?  Check out this easy to make home recycling center I found on Pinterest while researching updating my own home recycling system.
I've listed below a general guideline to help with your recycling.

These items almost always go in the curbside bins:
Paper
Flattened cardboard
Metal cans
Plastic bottles and jugs

These items are usually accepted but check with your local village before including them:
Glass bottles and jars
Milk cartons and juice boxes
Aluminum pie tins and food trays but NOT aluminum foil

These items NEVER go in curbside bin:
Styrofoam
Yard waste
Items with food on them
Pizza boxes
Batteries or electronics
Disposable cups and lids
Metal or plastic hangers
Bubble wrap, plastic wrap or basically any plastic you can poke a hole through with your finger

Don't recycle anything smaller than an ID card.

Many times recycling is sorted by hand but often it is now sorted my machine. Sorting our recycling is confusing but if done properly, it will make the job of workers and their machinery easier and keep it functioning properly.

Happy Earth Day🌍
