If you are looking for a change from pound cake, grill up some cake doughnuts for a toasty base for ice cream and fruit.
Preheat your grill to medium high but keep the heat on one side. In a bowl mash 1 pint raspberries with 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Oil the unlit side of the grill and add the 4 cake doughnuts, split horizontally, cut side down. Cover and grill until the doughnuts begin to brown, usually 1 - 2 minutes.
Divide the doughnut bottoms among 4 plates. Top each with a scoop of your favorite ice cream, some of the raspberry sauce and a handful of blueberries. Cover with the doughnut top. Could there be anything tastier?
