Grilled Tuesday: Steak with Blue Cheese Sauce

How does Grilled Steak with Blue Cheese Sauce sound for dinner tonight?
I love this delicious and simple recipe from Rachel Ray:

Serve with your favorite salad and vegetable and enjoy!

This recipe serves 4: Prep time is 10 minutes, grill time is 10 minutes.

  • Lightly spray your grill grates BEFORE lighting the grill. Preheat your grill to medium-high.
  • In a bowl, stir the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon zest, juice and shallot.
  • Stir in the cheese; season with salt and pepper.
  • Brush steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the steaks on the grill, cover and cook, turning once for about 6 minutes for medium-rare.
  • Transfer the steaks to plates and spoon the sauce on top.  Let rest for 5 minutes.

Wines I recommend for this dish:

2008 Edmeades Zinfandel ($20.00)
Winemaker David Ready, Jr. adds some Petite Sirah and Syrah to give this racy "Zin" it's ooomph.

2008 Genesis Syrah ($16.00)
A cool 2008 vintage gives this spicy, fragrant Syrah it's firm structure.
