Super Bowl Favorites

Super Bowl

Easy to make and eat foods are the only way to go and our family and friends always request these favorites.  All quick to make so you can grab your chair and enjoy.

What munchies are your favorites during the Super Bowl?

Baked Chicken Wings.  Preheat oven to 375. Line a baking sheet with foil.  Place wings on the baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.  Bake until browned, about 45 minutes to an hour, turning once. Pour your favorite barbecue sauce over the wings and bake for ten minutes. Turn the wings and bake ten minutes longer.

Easiest nachos ever! Line a baking sheet with foil. Cover in a single layer with tortilla chips.  Place La Preferida Jalapeno Nacho slices (hot or mild) on the tortilla chips.  Top with sliced pepper jack cheese.  Bake in 350 oven a few minutes until the cheese is beginning to melt. Serve immediately topped with sour cream.

Baked Potato Skins. (A helpful tip for the skins. I keep bacon I have precooked and frozen in zip lock bags for recipes like my skins.  Saves a ton of time).
I cook my potatoes in the microwave for this because they cook in minutes.  Pierce the potato, and cook on high for 5 minutes per potato.
When done, cut the potatoes in half and scoop out the insides leaving a thin layer of potato on the bottom of the skin.  Save the reserve in a bowl for next step. Brush the skins with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Place on a baking sheet and place in a 400 oven for 10 minutes, flip them for another 10 minutes until crispy.  Take out of the oven. Combine the reserved potato you scooped with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.  Fill the skins with this mixture and place back in the oven until the cheese is melted.  Top with sour cream and serve.

Are you ready for some football??🏈

Make a Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Keep your supper menu simple with this easy pizza dish!  What sets it apart from the rest is the kick from the hot sauce and blue cheese dressing.    These ingredients will give you 12 servings.
Prep time only 30 minutes and cook time is 25 minutes.

Ingredients:  6 skinless boneless chicken breasts, cooked and cut into cubes, 1/4 cup melted butter, 2 (2 ounce) bottles hot sauce, 2 (8 ounce) bottles blue cheese salad dressing of your choice, 2 (16 inch) prepared pizza crusts,  2 (8 ounce) packages shredded mozzarella cheese.

My shortcut secret is a new fabulous pre made crust I found Golden Home ultra thin pizza crust.  It's truly restaurant quality and all you do is put your sauce and toppings on and bake.  Check out where you can purchase it at quakerbakery

~Bake the chicken ahead of time and cool for easy preparation~

Directions:  Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.  In a medium bowl, combine the cubed chicken, melted butter and hot sauce.  Mix well.  Spread whole bottle of blue cheese salad dressing over the crust, then top with the chicken mixture and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

I like to bake my pizza in a pizza pan, but you may also bake the pizza directly on the oven shelf.  You might want to place aluminum foil under to catch any dripping cheese.

Bake in preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, about 5 - 10 minutes.  Let is set for a few minutes before slicing, serve and enjoy.
