Caramel Apple Sundaes Tonight using Baked Apples

Slow Cooker Tuesday brings a tantalizingly delicious dessert you won't want to miss.  It can be made in the slow cooker in just 4 hours.   So gather those granny smith apples you picked this past weekend at the orchard and make this easy recipe today.  Here's how!

Place 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks or slices, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup water, and 1/2 cup sugar into your slow cooker and stir.
Cover and cook on LOW for about 4 hours.  Apples should be cooked but not falling apart.

Place in an ovenproof casserole which I used above last week, core the apples, place a pat of butter inside each apple, sprinkle with TheSpicehouse nutmeg and cinnamon, a sprinke of raisins and place in preheated 400 degree oven for an hour or until the apples are soft.

Serve the apples into bowls over vanilla ice cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Happy Tuesday:)
