Living in the Midwest, you know when Fall has arrived because you see pumpkins everywhere.  Our Farmers Markets, grocery stores and back yard gardens.
We love to cook with them and decorate our homes with pumpkins.
A couple of years ago, I found creative and easy ideas for your family pumpkin to use outside your home and the whole family can participate in creating.
Carve the address of your home into the pumpkin after you have cleaned the inside and hollowed the pumpkin shell.
Insert a no flame candle inside for a glow.

Living in the Midwest you know when the Fall season arrives, the pumpkin farmers won't let you down.  Pumpkins are everywhere and there are farmstands on almost every corner.  Here's a creative and  easy idea for your family pumpkin that will help mark the address of your home I found in Country Living Magazine.  After purchasing the pumpkin of your choice, you will need number stickers for your address (your local hardware store usually carries these or you can find them on etsy.com/shop/doodlebugdesignstn).  Apply the numbers to your pumpkin, then use a foam brush to cover your pumpkin with two coats of acrylic paint, allowing to dry 30 minutes per coat.  Remove the number decals and you have an address pumpkin for your front porch!
