BLT'S Are on the Menu Tonight

Sara Lee Artesano bread is my choice for it's flavor and thickness when toasting.

Ready to assemble!

I grow my vegetables in large pots on my deck to avoid the bunnies dining on my plants,

I line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, lightly with cooking spray and place my bacon strips to bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes until it's done.  Before baking, I sprinkle brown sugar on the bacon to give it a sweet flavor and extra crispness. 

My tomato plants are bursting with gorgeous tomatoes.  

When you're a lover of BLT's like I am, this is your time to shine.   

I like bacon with a little something special. Baking bacon strips sprinkled with brown sugar on a baking sheet will enhance the flavor of your BLT.  Bacon can be made ahead of time, drained, cooled and frozen for future use.

Set up assembly of sliced tomatoes, lettuce leaves, bacon, mayonnaise, salt, pepper and toasted bread of your choice.

Make a double decker sandwich for extra delight!
