Delicious and Easy Antipasto Platter



Antipasto literally means "before the meal" and is usually a delicious combination of small bites that is meant to stimulate the appetite before your main meal.  Any or all of the following are suggested and placed on a beautiful platter will bring a relaxed and casual spirit to the table.  Try any of these on a nice plate, platter, or small dishes and let everyone help themselves.

Jarred marinated artichokes and Camembert cheese with crackers

Chunks of slices of Genoa salami and Cacio de Roma cheese with crusty bread

Shaved prosciutto with chunks of fresh cantaloupe

For a large group, select from the following:

Meats, such as pepperoni, salami and prosciutto, add mixed olives or stuffed olives of your choice to the platter, a wheel of creamy brie, roasted red peppers and marinated artichokes and crackers.  Bowls of hummus with pita chips are delicious too.  Mixed roasted nuts go nicely as a salty addition too.

Provide a stack of small appetizer plates, cocktail napkins and wine or sparkling water with ice.
