Slow Cooker Tuesday Pumpkin Beer Chili

Fall's arrival must mean it's time to bring out my slow cooker.  I still love grilling, but as the calendar shows mid September, my thoughts turn to pumpkin.  We are chili lovers in our family so this recipe makes sense for everyone.  Of course, you can make it omitting the pumpkin beer if you don't want the alcohol.  
1 lb. ground beef,  1/2 cups chopped onion , 7 ounces drained corn, 15 oz. black beans, drained and rinsed, 15 oz. kidney beans, drained and rinsed, 15 oz. diced petite tomatoes undrained, 2 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 cup pumpkin puree, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon allspice, pinch cloves,  8 oz. pumpkin beer

Cook and crumble ground beef in a large skillet with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.  Drain off fat.  Transfer ground beef and all other ingredients to a slow cooker stir until combined.  Cook on low for 8 hours. 

Top with sour cream and enjoy the good flavors of the season:)
