Host a "Homegate" Party this Weekend!

Why travel to the game when you can "Homegate"?
A big screen television with a great sound system will make your house the place to be for this weekends games.
Seating, whether it's rugs, floor pillows, bean bag chairs is important.
Awesome food (this is key!).  Along with your favorite craft beers.  A fun idea is have a beer sampling area.
Here are some fun ideas I've made in the past that are perfect for Game Day.

Seven Layer Salad you can make the day before.

thespicehouse is the ALL STAR of spices and you can order online. English Prime Rib Rub with a splash of A-1 to your ground beef adds perfect flavor.  Place a layer of seasoned ground beef in 1 13x9 pan, layer with cheddar cheese, then a top layer of seasoned ground beef.  Flatten and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until done.

When finished baking, cut into small squares and place them onto "slider buns" topped with a small pickle slice.

Make your own salad bar using your favorite toppings. Snap peas, grape tomatoes, black & green olives, sliced cucumber, shredded cheese, croutons, dried cranberries, lettuce of course and dressing choices.  This is always a fun favorite at our house.

Let's not forget the sweets table.  I made whoopie pies here.  Everyone loved them!

Bake chocolate cupcakes.  Notice we love chocolate "everything" at our house?

Lastly, I did this at our Lake House recently.  A Make Your Own Taco Bar.  I like this idea because you can make your taco meat and chop up your toppings the day before, stick in the fridge until you are ready to heat the meat and serve.  Allows you time to enjoy your guests.

Serve up ice cold craft beers, wine or sangria.  Or make up an area for beer sampling trays with the latest seasonals.

Happy Weekend!!
